About me: 
I grew up on a farm, so from a young age I found a love for fixing things, operating equipment, and helping folks.

I’ve been a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for 13 years. During my time there I completed a four-year apprenticeship and have worked in the field.  I also helped train apprentices in the safe operation of all types of heavy machinery.  I’ve been in the profession for 20 years. This is my first year teaching.

I enjoy meeting students with the same love for equipment that I have. It’s amazing to help students with a desire to learn the trade.

It’s nice having small classes because it gives the students plenty of seat time to work on their skills, and it gives us an opportunity to thoroughly cover topics with a one-on-one feel.
