Refund Policy

Short-Term Classes: Refunds, less a $15 processing fee will be made if the student withdraws before the second class.  If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, no processing fee will be charged.

Motorcycle Classes: There are no refunds of the $50 registration fee.  Students may re-schedule a class by calling 513.612.5847 to request a change to a later class.

Firearms Classes: Cancellations/transfers must be received no later than 48 hours before the start of class; otherwise a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed. If an individual is a No Show for a class, only 50% of the course fee will be refunded.

Computer 1 & 2 Day Seminar Classes: A $50 cancellation fee will be charged unless a cancellation is received no later than 48 hours before the start of class.

IT Certification Programs: A $150 cancellation fee will be charged unless a cancellation is received no later than 48 hours before the start of class.

WorkKeys: There are no refunds available for WorkKeys registration. If you need to change your test date and you contact us at 513.771.8881 at least 24 hours before your scheduled test appointment, we offer a 1-time transfer to a future test date. If we don’t hear from you at least 24 hours before your scheduled test date, we are unable to offer a transfer. This policy is in place out of respect for our students and our staff. By missing your test, you prevent someone else from being able to schedule into that time slot.

EMT: Full refunds will be issued when a class is cancelled by the Adult Education Department or fees may be applied to another class. No refunds will be issued after the first class meeting unless otherwise noted. Books and supplies/materials are non-refundable.

Certificate

A Certificate of Completion is awarded if 75% attendance is attained and course requirements are met for short-term classes. EKG, Phlebotomy, and Clinical Medical Assistant programs have 90% attendance requirements (details on the first day of class). Fire, EMT, STNA, PCA, and CPR courses require 100% attendance.

Dress Guidelines

Please dress in a manner that is appropriate for your classroom. You should be comfortable in your learning environment, but not distracting to others. Great Oaks seeks to create and maintain a productive and positive learning environment, minimizing disruptions and distraction. Dress expectations will be covered during first day of class.

Smoking Policy

Smoking and the use of tobacco products, plant or alternative nicotine products, including e-cigarettes, is PROHIBITED at all times on all property owned, leased, or operated by Great Oaks.

Children

Students 16 years of age and older can register for any of our part-time personal enrichment classes. In addition, anyone under 16 years of age interested in challenging themselves and learning something new is welcome to register for any online classes. Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone under the age of 16 to be in attendance in our classrooms or the building during adult education classes.

Adult evening class cancellations will be announced prior to 3 pm (or as soon as possible). Please listen to local radio stations and TV broadcasts or visit www.greatoaks.com for updates.
