You receive SNAP (food snap assistance) but not cash assistance.
May fund STNA and PCA, WorkKeys, and background checks.
An HPA/SNAP Release/Verification Form is on the website. Return to HPA for verification. Must submit medical paperwork and diploma before SNAP will fund WorkKeys or BAckground check.

Your household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)

You have a minor child in the home
STEPS - Hamilton County - case management expectations.
May fund any class, transportation, prerequisites, and scrubs.

Santa Maria - case management/a minor child in the home may be a requirement.
May fund any class, transportation, scrubs & prerequisites.
The process from referral to the class start date may take up to three months.

Your household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line (FPL)
Hamilton County Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)
May fund any class, but not prerequisites.
Complete HPA prerequisites (WorkKeys, background check, etc.) & request an application from HPA.
Great Oaks will send a request for a WIOA representative application and provide income verification & WorkKeys scores. Students will complete the WIOA application.
If you are working with a CCMEP caseworker, please disregard the information here and coordinate your activities with your caseworker and Great Oaks HPA.
Other funding for those with need may be available. Contact our office if you don't qualify for any of these grants.
The funding enrollment and eligibility determination process may take several weeks, and you may encounter waitlists or changes in funding availability or requirements.
The funding agency, not Great OAks, determines the final income eligibility.
WIOA
If you live in a county other than Hamilton, don't hesitate to contact your Ohio Means Jobs (OMJ) Center for additional information/eligibility requirements regarding WIOA funding.

Hamilton County residents are directed to contact Great Oaks for a referral prior to contacting the OMJ office. Additional questions may be directed to the OMJ Center at 513-946-7200.
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) - Financial assistance may be available from this local agency for students with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities that present a handicap to employment. Partial to toal aid may cover tuition, books, and supplies. Contact your local or area OOD office or call 1-800-686-3323 for more information.
