OTC+ Career Training for High School Students

Great Oaks Adult Education, an Ohio Technical Center, has opened its career-technical training programs for enrollment to high school students who are on track for graduation.
Students can enroll in classes that offer the opportunity to earn meaningful industry credentials to get them on their path to “what’s next.”
This option is ideal for students who may have been closed out of previous programming or could not attend their career-technical campus.

Considerations:

  • Depending on the program, classes can occur on weekdays, evenings, or Saturdays
  • There is non-refundable registration cost to the student. Some programs may require payment for Workkeys testing and/or PPE, tools, and uniforms.
  • Students must apply for admission and meet additional requirements for enrollment (i.e. a Workkeys minimum score, driver’s license, vaccination record, etc.)
  • Students will be attending classes with adults.  This requires a level of maturity and self-discipline from the student to navigate the classroom dynamic, meet class attendance requirements, and manage the demands of their time.
  • Transportation is the responsibility of the student.
  • Grades earned in OTC+ courses will be included in the HS GPA and on HS transcripts.
  •  Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to low enrollment.
