ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

Participation in the ASPIRE program is limited to individuals who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens, as required by federal guidelines. 
Verification of status will be required. 
To participate in Ohio Aspire programs you must provide the following

 

U.S. Citizen must provide one of the following documents:

Document
U.S. Birth Certificate with a valid photo ID
U.S. Passport (valid)
Certificate of Naturalization (N-550 or N-570)
Certificate of Citizenship (N0560 or N-561)
Ohio REAL ID - compliant driver's license or state ID
Tribal Enrollment or Membership Card

 

Eligible Non-Citizens must provide one of the following documents:

Document
Permanent Resident Card (Green Card, I-551)
Form 1-94 with Refugee or Asylee status
Employment Authorization Document (I-766)
DHS Verification Letter
SAVE Program Verification Record

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

ALL ESOL Classes
  • English classes are for adults who wish to improve and practice speaking, reading, listening and writing skills.
  • Seating is limited and on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • Be on time, late arrivals not admitted.
  • All dates and times are subject to change.
  • Please check website for updates.
  • Age restrictions apply to attend ESOL classes. 
  • No children are permitted in the building

Before Starting ESOL class, all Northstar (The Care Center) ESOL students must complete a 1-day registration session, lasting approximately 3 hours, on the following date:
