Firefighter I & Firefighter II

These programs teach students fire ground safety, basic building construction, search and rescue, horizontal/vertical ventilation, suppression of class A-D fires, ground and aerial ladders, incident management, salvage and overhaul, forcible entry, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and hazardous material operations. Graduates are eligible to take the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Medical Service FF I and II certifications examination. Firefighter I meets the basic Firefighter NFPA Requirements and the Firefighter II transition course brings the Firefighter I certification to the Level of Professional Fire Fighter, which is required for Full-Time Firefighter employment. You must have Firefighter I to take the Firefighter II Transition Course.
